The xkat platform enables you to practice instantly in your browser via Cloud VMs and sandboxes without installing extra programs or virtual machines (such as WSL or Docker).
Note for Windows users: You no longer need to install WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) or setup complex virtualization software manually. All standard programming lessons run safely inside Cloud VMs.

1. Cloud VM & Web Sandbox (Default)

Most introductory and advanced lessons (Python, C/C++, Java, Rust, SQL, React, etc.) run 100% directly in your web browser.
  • Automatic Connection: A cloud-isolated sandbox is automatically assigned when you enter a lesson.
  • Zero Installation: Provides a consistent, safe environment regardless of your operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux).

2. Local Agent Connection (Optional Labs Only)

Only for specialized lessons that interact with local hardware (Arduino/Raspberry Pi) or desktop apps (Blender, Sonic Pi, local CLI tools), connect your machine using a single command below.
