# Desktop App

> Use xkat as a native desktop application.

In addition to the web app, xkat is available as a **native desktop application**,
giving you a dedicated window for learning and creating.

## Why use the desktop app

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Dedicated window" icon="desktop">
    A focused space for xkat, separate from your browser tabs.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Same experience" icon="arrows-rotate">
    The same courses, workspace, and account as the web — your progress syncs.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

## Getting it

Download the desktop app from [xkat.space](https://xkat.space) and sign in with
your existing account. Everything — courses, progress, and library — stays in sync
with the web app.

<Note>
  Desktop availability and platform support may change over time. See
  [What's New](/en/help/changelog) for the current status.
