# Supported Languages

> The nine languages xkat is available in and how to switch.

xkat is a multilingual platform. The interface and course content are available
in **nine languages**:

| Language          | Code |
| :---------------- | :--- |
| English           | `en` |
| 한국어 (Korean)      | `ko` |
| 日本語 (Japanese)    | `ja` |
| 中文 (Chinese)      | `zh` |
| Deutsch (German)  | `de` |
| Español (Spanish) | `es` |
| Français (French) | `fr` |
| हिन्दी (Hindi)    | `hi` |
| Bahasa Indonesia  | `id` |

## Switching languages

Use the language switcher in the top navigation, or set a default under
**Settings → Profile → Language**. The interface and any localized course content
update to your selection.

## How content is translated

Course content is created **English-first** for the highest logical quality, then
translated into every target language and stored alongside the original. This
"English-Pivot" approach keeps translations consistent with a single source of
truth.

## Don't see your language?

You can request additional locale coverage from within the app. If a specific
course hasn't been translated yet, the English version remains available.
